Week 8 News

Dear Parents and Students,
Last Friday students were not issued the usual homework due to the fact that they had their Maths exam yesterday and are working hard to complete their History and English assessment on a notable figure from the Federation of Australia.
Therefore students were advised to take home their Maths books to revise and complete unfinished work in preparation for their exam.
Now that they have completed their exam, students have been asked to use some time at home this week to do some extra research for their History report.  This means students should be investigating the lives of either Henry Parkes or Edmund Barton, and how they influenced the federation of Australia.  Students were provided with resources to help them draw out the necessary information, but additional research will really help them to investigate even further and gain some unique facts.

It is still expected that students are READING for pleasure daily for a minimum of 10 minutes, and are expected to complete UNIT 6 of their SIGNPOST MATHS TEXT, but they do not have a spelling list or Maths drills sheet this week. The SIGNPOST MATHS will be due next TUESDAY (MARCH 26th).

Also, next Wednesday (March 27th), 6 Green will be leading the Grade 6 Buddies Mass.  The whole of Grade 6 and Prep classes will attend.  Mass will start at 9am if you are able to join us.

Have a great week!
Miss Sarah Field
